A Love Letter to Adventure – Expanding the Labyrinth with Tayloria

Friends, dreamers, adventurers,

If there is one truth I have carried with me since the very beginning of The Labyrinth of Time’s Edge, it is this: I love the adventure genre. Always have, always will. The kind of games that don’t just flash spectacle in front of your eyes but invite you to step into a world one that grows in your imagination, one that lingers long after you’ve closed the screen. Adventure games are not simply about puzzles or progress. They are about discovery. They are about standing at the threshold of the unknown, heart pounding, lantern in hand, and daring to take the next step. They are about characters who stay with you, choices that haunt you, and stories that feel alive because you lived them. That is why I continue to pour myself into this project, room after room, map after map, because I believe adventure is not just a genre. It is a journey of the soul.

And with that spirit, the Labyrinth continues to expand.

I’ve always said that this game will never be finished in the traditional sense, because the Labyrinth is alive. It grows as I grow. It shifts with every new idea, every late-night writing session, every spark of imagination that refuses to fade. Thousands of rooms have already been carved out of the void, each with its own stories, its own atmosphere, its own piece of the puzzle. But I am far from done.

Which brings me to my latest creation: Tayloria.

Tayloria is more than just another section of the map; it’s a new frontier for the Labyrinth. A place of eerie beauty and unsettling quiet, where the air seems to hum with secrets and every corner whispers of stories untold. The room descriptions you’ve seen are just the beginning. Within Tayloria, you will encounter strange architecture, ghostly presences, and landscapes that seem both inviting and dangerous. It is a land that asks you to slow down, to pay attention, to look closer at the details, because nothing here is ever what it first seems. What excites me about Tayloria is not just the setting itself, but what it represents: the continuation of a promise. The promise that this Labyrinth will always grow. That every time you return, you will find something new waiting for you. That adventure is endless, so long as there is imagination to fuel it.

I know the world of gaming has shifted toward bigger budgets, shinier graphics, endless patches, and microtransactions. But that’s not why I do this. I build because I love the genre. Because I believe that adventure, in its purest form, is still alive and worth fighting for. Because I believe that the simplest tools, a screen, a keyboard, and your imagination, can still create worlds more vast and meaningful than any AAA spectacle.

Tayloria is my way of showing that love in action. It is another piece of the labyrinthine puzzle, another chapter in this ongoing epic, another chance for you to step into a place where every word matters and every detail has been crafted by hand. So, as I continue working on this new location, I want you to remember why this game exists in the first place: because of the love of adventure. Because of the belief that games can be more than distractions, they can be journeys. They can be art. They can be the kind of stories that live with you forever.

The Labyrinth grows. Tayloria awaits. And the adventure continues.
