I’ve been unbelievably sick, and if you’ve watched my latest video, you know I’m going through a rough patch. I usually post about what I’ve been working on and what to expect in the future, but right now, I’m focused on expanding the Iron Hold Mine, crafting something truly memorable for the Ice Spiders you’ll soon encounter. While I rest and work toward getting back to full health, I wanted to share a small poem I wrote about the adventurer, you, the player. Picture a dimly lit tavern in a village whose name you can’t pronounce. The fire crackles low, the scent of roasted boar lingers in the air, and a bard strums a lute by the hearth. You’re three mugs of ale deep when you hear this tale unfold…
The Ballad of Drakhan
I’ll tell you a tale of a wanderer bold,
With stories of glory and courage retold.
Through forest and flame, through shadow and snow,
They journeyed where few ever dared to go.A witch once waited in sorrow or spite,
You held her fate in the edge of your light.
Slay her, and darkness may wither and die
Or spare her, and beauty will bloom ‘neath the sky. With lantern aglow and a sword at your side,
You roam through the world with honor and pride.
For those who are lost, for those who still bleed,
You carry their hopes, and answer their need.
Until next time, adventurers, keep your lantern close and beware the beasts that dwell in the shadows.
