Version 1.6 is Here – And It’s Just the Beginning

I’m thrilled to announce the release of version 1.6! I’ve been itching to talk about it since yesterday, but after being a total zombie, I figured now was the perfect time to share my thoughts.

This game has been such an incredible journey for me, and I hope it’s the same for you. It invites you into a world full of twists and turns, where you’ll meet unforgettable characters and experience wondrous sights, all brought to life through the magic of the written word. There’s something special about a text adventure, isn’t there? In an age where many games rely on flashy graphics, often like a lackluster movie dependent on special effects, I wanted to focus on what truly matters: a compelling story.

No unnecessary distractions, no heavy-handed messaging, just pure storytelling and a world waiting to be explored. Through the 718 rooms already crafted, you’ll uncover the ten treasures needed to defeat the mighty witch Malthera. Your journey will take you across the overworld and deep into the labyrinth’s five levels, each leading to strange and breathtaking places. Along the way, you’ll meet Vaelthoryn, a key figure in this tale who ties everything together.

I also want to take a moment to express my heartfelt thanks to all of you. Your support means the world to me, and it’s because of you that this project has come to life. Since this is the first major release, I’ll be creating a video to share more about the game. I’ll even be speaking in it, maybe that will help me organize my thoughts a little better!

So, go ahead, immerse yourself in the adventure and discover what lies ahead. Oh, and did I mention? The entire game is written in QBasic, which makes it even more of a nostalgic journey for me as a creator.
