Discover What’s New: Ver. 0.6 Released and First Look into the Game

It’s been some time since I started this website, and I’ve been working on it every day. From writing room descriptions to mapping out the game, everything has been crafted within a version of QBasic. I’ve been on a roll, diligently breathing life into the characters and bringing all the pieces together to create the game.

If you’re reading this, I’ve shared a small glimpse into the game. In this version, the locations focus on the Village, where you, the player, first set foot in Oathmoor. Here, you’ll find the King within his castle, along with what remains of his army. There’s also a Temple where you’ll interact with devoted worshipers.

Exploring the castle will be crucial as you venture through its halls and uncover the path to the King, who holds the key to saving the kingdom. You’ll also get to climb the tower, offering a sweeping view of the lands, where survival and uncovering the truth go hand in hand.

Once you’ve explored these locations, the game takes you to the labyrinth — an underground world teeming with monsters that lurk in the shadows.

Before I go on, I should mention that each part of the map contains roughly 40 to 60 rooms. Each area also hides a treasure, essential for opening the portal and progressing further in the game.

The treasures you collect can activate the portal.

I just want to take a moment to thank you all for joining me on this journey. Before anyone says anything, let me remind you—this is still a work in progress! You can find it right here: The Ventureweaver – itch.io

Since I started blogging about my game, I’ve found it easier to open up about my life and share memories of old video games and movies that have inspired me. It’s not always easy for me to be honest and vulnerable, but this space has made it possible.

Thank you for your support, and until the next post, Adventurers—don’t forget your lanterns!
