Greetings and Happy Sunday!
I hope you’re all enjoying this wonderful Sunday afternoon. For those of you following my official YouTube channel, you may have noticed an exciting new update: the first-ever look into the text adventure “The Labyrinth of Time’s Edge.”
In my latest video, I shared a preview of the game as it stands today. While some elements are still a work in progress, this sneak peek showcases the progress made so far, particularly in ironing out bugs and refining the game’s mapping. It’s a glimpse into the world I’m building and a taste of what’s to come.
Currently, I’m focused on crafting engaging NPC descriptions and dialogue interactions, which I’m designing to be both immersive and fun. As for the music featured in the video, it’s not part of the game yet—I don’t currently have the programming skills to integrate it. However, the demo is a working foundation, and I’m excited to expand upon it in the days ahead.
I know the holiday season can be a challenging time for many, so I wanted to create something special to bring a little joy and entertainment to everyone. If you enjoy my work, I’d love to hear from you! Feel free to leave a comment on the video—I’m always happy to answer your questions and hear your thoughts.
Thank you for your support, and stay tuned for more updates as “The Labyrinth of Time’s Edge” continues to evolve!
With Christmas upon us, the holiday season often stirs up a rush of emotions and cherished memories. As I reflect on the gifts we’ve received over the years—whether video games, books, movies, or something else entirely—I’m reminded of the joy these moments brought. Growing up, receiving video games from family was always a special treat. My parents knew how to pick some of the best: The Legend of Zelda, Resident Evil 2, Doom, and let’s not forget Mighty Final Fight. These are just a few of the classics that have stuck with me.
And, of course, there’s the unforgettable Christmas of ’92, when we got the Atari Jr.—a memory I’ll always treasure.
As I think back on these moments, they inspire me in my creative journey. There’s something magical about creating characters and bringing them to life in a game. Recently, I’ve been working on dialogue interactions between the player and NPCs, and I couldn’t resist sharing one of my favorite lines so far:
“By Oathmoor’s hammer, we have an outsider!”
It’s little touches like this that make the world I’m building feel alive and vibrant.
As I wrap up this update, I want to wish you all a wonderful evening, wherever you are in the world. In my next post, I’ll share updates on the progress of the remaining NPCs and items for the first 112 rooms of the game. Stay tuned, and thank you for being a part of this journey!
